Grid-Tie System

A Grid-tie system uses the electricity generated by the solar PV array and electrical grid. This system is connected to an electricity meter to monitor the power consumption. The power generated during daytime will be used by the facility while the excess will flow through the net meter back back to the connected grid, termed as Export Power.During lumos the facility will use power from the Grid through the net meter termed as Import Power. The Grid owner is paid for the excess energy produced as per local tariff.

Roof-Mounted System

A roof-mounted solar system could range from 2KW systems to large systems using MW. The solar panels used in Roof Mounting are light in weight and can be easily installed on any roof style. Our Roof mounted systems come with a 25-year production warranty period.

Ground-Mounted System

Ground mounted solar panel systems have larger panels as compared to Rooftop System for the same area. These system run from MW to 100+MW of energy and are installed in large open fields. With negligible maintenance, Ground Mounted system is a very efficient resource of Renewable energy.

Gross-Metering

Gross metering measures the generation and import of Solar energy separately. By metering the total number of solar units of generation and units consumed, this method allows the utility to charge the customers separately for import, generation and net consumption and if required, even at different rates. This is imposed by having two separate meters or using dual metering.

Net-Metering

Net metering is a billing process that credits the owners of grid-tied systems when they produce more energy than the load needs.Because grid-tied systems are usually net-metered, the power meter tracks this exchange between the solar system and the grid. Excess energy generation leads to your power meter spinning backward rather than forward, thus giving you a credit. The credit can be used to offset payments for future power usage.

Pole-Mounted System

Pole mounts are embedded in concrete. The PV solar panel can be mounted on the top of Poles, mounted on cross-Arms on the side of the pole . Top-of-Pole mounts are designed for maximum strength and ease of installation. SIde-of-Pole mounts are kept facing to the source for energy generation. The foundation for poles are either concrete slabs or poured footings.

Carport System

A carport system is a viable solution for using the area providing parking space in the most efficient, Eco- friendly manner. A Trellis(Carport) System uses as much roof area provided it is under direct Sunlight. New carport or trellis structures can be custom built or existing carports can be modified to provide shaded or covered parking. Solar Carport require zero maintenance and the panels could be positioned for optimal energy production.

Single-Axis Tracking

Trackers increases the generation potential upto 16-24%  compared to a fixed Mounting System. Tilted single axis trackers offer optimal efficiency and solar tracking capabilities by tracking the sun throughout the day. A Single-Axis tracker can harness solar energy even in cloudy or overcast weather. The degree of flexibility low however the PV panels used in a Single-Axis tracker makes it reliable for the generation of enough energy.

Solar Hybrid System

To complete the energy needs of an industry, Solar Hybrid Systems are used. These system uses multiple sources of energy that are combined to get to the daily energy requirements. A carefully structured , custom-made Hybrid system  could be helpful in completing the energy needs with minimal expenditure and leave as much oil barrels unused to conserve this Environment.

Dual-Axis Tracking

Dual-Axis Tracking not only follows the daily movement of the sun from east to west, but also it tracks the sun in every season by changing its altitude. The initial cost of a dual axis tracking system can be higher than a stationary system, Dual-Axis tracker uses fewer panels to generate the targeted counts of energy. Dual axis trackers can also be a viable solution for property owners that prefer not to cover large portions of their land with ground mounted solar arrays.

Solar Cleaning System

Accumulated dust on the surfaces of PV panels can have a big impact on electricity production. The efficiency of the solar panel can be reduced by up to 50% in a dusty environment, as this interferes with the amount of direct sunlight received to the PV array. Conditioning and maintaining a PV panel is a must.

Energy Management System

The load required for a site to function would vary and this makes the management of the energy produced crucially important. Energy Management System deals with the generated power and battery charging conditions in the solar power generator. This would help in tracking your plant’s performance and make optimal use of the System .

Mounting Structure

The mounting structure takes care of the area used to install PV panels and optimize as much space by retrofitting panels with the structure if the buildings’ roofs, building facades, or the ground.

Lithium Battery System

Lithium Ion Batteries are more and more used for solar energy battery banks due to their lightweight, few self-discharge, low maintenance and scalability. These systems are mounted on vehicles like caravans, 4WD or camper vans and are great for travelling to remote areas.

VRLA Battery System

A VRLA (Valve-Regulated lead acid) batteries are commonly known as sealed or maintenance free batteries. As the name ‘valve regulated’ defines, these batteries have a safety valve, which allows the release of gases produced. These batteries are spill proof and can be installed almost anywhere.

Solar Hot Water System

Solar Water Heating systems are designed to deliver hot water for most of the year. SWH is the conversion of sunlight into renewable energy for water heating using a solar thermal collector. Solar water heating systems comprise various technologies that are used worldwide increasingly.

Active Open Loop System

Open Loop Direct Systems are suitable for mild and moderate climates where freezing is minimal.  A direct system produces the highest operating performance, because there is no nighttime heat losses from hot water stored on the roof as in a passive system nor is any efficiency lost through a heat exchange process as in a closed loop system.

Active Closed Loop System

Active Closed Loop systems pump heat-transfer fluids ( FDA approved glycol fluid) through collectors. Heat exchangers transfer the heat from the fluid to the household water stored in the tanks. These systems either require a tank with a heat exchange coil or an external heat exchanger.

Evacuated Tube System

More efficient than flat plate solar collectors, only during overcast weather conditions, an evacuated tube collector system resembles a bank of florescent light bulbs on your roof. The storage tank is horizontally mounted immediately above the solar collectors on the roof. Hot water naturally rises into the tank through thermo siphon flow. In a Pump-Circulated system the storage tank is ground/ floor-mounted and is below the level of the collectors; a circulating pump moves water or heat transfer fluid between the tank and the collectors.

Flat Plate System

A flat-plate collector is a large, shallow box, typically mounted on a roof that heats water using the sun’s energy.The pipes and absorber plate are enclosed in an insulated metal or wooden box with a sheet of glazing material, either glass or plastic on the front to protect the enclosed absorber plate and create an insulating air space.
